Career-Mums CIC provides support to parents returning to work following a career break and our sister business, CM Talent, works with employers to promote smooth transitions.
Based on the border of West Midlands and Warwickshire, Career-Mums specialise in coaching, training and consultancy for women looking to return to work. As a social enterprise, we reinvest to support more women to achieve their work aspirations.
Career-Mums understand there are complex and sensitive issues around parental leave (maternity, paternity, shared or adoption), childcare choices, family support, career breaks, sabbaticals, care of elderly relatives, breastfeeding, flexible working opportunities, career progression, gender pay inequalities, unconscious gender bias and lack of women in senior positions across all sectors. Any of which may affect you.
Career-Mums also know that more female than male graduates enter the workplace every year. Businesses with a healthy gender balance financially outperform those that don’t. Working parents are the happiest and healthiest parents with children that perform better educationally. And it takes, on average, a career returner just four weeks to be fully productive in a new role.
It’s therefore in the best interests of everyone to support women looking to return to work following a career break – and to ensure that the return is smooth, supported and fits with changing family responsibilities.
